I Don’t Have Many Friends Review

haganai0I Don’t Have Many Friends first graced out screens in 2011. It opens with Kodaka a transfer student who struggles with the task of making friends due to his appearance of a delinquent. One day Kodaka meets Yozora an equally lonely character with an aggressive personality. The two come to the conclusion that the pair is equally lonely and have no ability to make friends. In order to remedy this issue, the two form an after school club called The Nabours Club. The goal of the club is to learn the skills needed to make friends. The two are soon joined by several other just as solitary characters, each with their own flaws which they must overcome in order to make friends.

My Review: I found this show to be really entertaining. Many of the characters are memorable and stand out within the group. Many of the moments are just as memorable with some really interesting shenanigans. For the most part, this show has some great writing and strong emotions, that is not to say that it is without its fan service moments, because there is plenty of that to be found. On the surface, this show looks more like a romcom but if you look deeper then you may find that there are actually some really intricate concepts being explored. This show really stood out for me and I look forward to the release of season 3 in the near future.

I rate this anime 3.5/5
